Request a school or community presentation to learn about burrowing owls, what MBORP is doing to help burrowing owls in Manitoba, how biodiversity plays a significant role in our lives and how everyone can do their part to help!

School presentations - Choose your adventure.

Note: all presentations run approximately 60 minutes for an honourarium/donation of $250. Mileage fees are not included in donation.

Early years

Preschool to Grade 4

Option 1

“Storytime with Bindi” includes children’s story “Little Owl, Little Owl” and a live owl presentation.

Option 2

An interactive presentation (slide deck) and live owl presentation.

Both options have a question/answer period. Groups with 25 or less children will have the opportunity to get up close and personal with Bindi.

Book Early Years Presentation

Middle + Senior Years

Grades 5 to 12

Interactive presentation (slide deck) and a live owl presentation. Presentations include discussions about ecosystems, biodiversity, endangered species, grasslands, species-at-risk, burrowing owl breeding biology and MBORP’s recovery activities.

MBORP education presentations require that all school group presentations (Grades 3-12) have a component of in class discussion about species at risk (SAR), ecosystems in Manitoba, importance of protecting wildlife and their habitats, Burrowing Owls, and/or focus on other Manitoba owls’ prior presentation.
